For the 18th time, the Mittweida Workshop on Computational Intelligence (MiWoCI) will take place at our university.

MiWoCI continues the tradition of presenting the latest trends and developments in the field of machine learning for data analysis and visualisation, with a focus (though not exclusively) on prototype-based models such as the Learning Vector Quantisation method or Self-Organising Maps.

The workshop focuses on new theoretical models and problem-solving approaches, as well as interesting applications, for example in bioinformatics, forensics, medicine or in automotive assistance systems. Topics may include issues such as handling large amounts of data and transfer learning.  A key feature of MiWoCI is to encourage young researchers to present their findings and discuss them with fellow young scientists as well as with experienced researchers in the field.

Speakers can present their work in 20-minute talks.

The workshop fee is €150 for university members / €300 for industry representatives.
