The Digital Core Lab sub-project is dedicated to setting up a Digital Core Lab. With a small but excellent range of equipment – from sequencers and handheld spectrometers to disc readers – an engaging learning environment is being created in which participants can collect, pre-process and evaluate data themselves, and analyse it using AI algorithms.

Further objectives include

• the creation of a tool database containing digital tools and learning and teaching systems, complete with technical descriptions, recommendations for use and user knowledge;
• carrying out requirements analyses and establishing the necessary infrastructure;
• the generation and preparation of specialist content;
• and the establishment and coordination of a tech and science scouting service to identify and incorporate new technology trends. 

The aim of the ‘Teaching Management’ sub-project is to develop and establish digital management tools for individualised, adaptive teaching. 

• Commencing with requirements analysis and concept development as the basis for the technical implementation of digital teaching and learning solutions. 
• Conducting test runs to ensure optimal technical implementation. 
• Training courses and workshops for teaching staff and students on the optimal use of the new technologies. 
• Widespread implementation at HSMW and transfer of the results to other higher education institutions.
